DEAN WHITE

 Director

Dean brings over two decades of experience in elite sports to his role at Diamond. His journey began as a professional athlete at just 18 years old, playing for esteemed teams such as the Atlanta Braves and the Perth Heat in the Australian Baseball League (ABL). Transitioning from the field, Dean seamlessly integrated into various leadership positions within Australian baseball. Notably, he served as the Australian Women’s Bronze Medal Program Manager and Assistant Coach in 2014 and chaired the Womens's Committee from 2014 to 2016, demonstrating his commitment to both performance excellence, inclusive programs and administrative stewardship.
Since 2017, Dean has channeled his expertise and passion into Diamond, where he fosters an environment dedicated to nurturing high performance across all endeavours. As a visible presence across all our sites, Dean's leadership extends to his particular dedication to our Vocational Education Training programs, where he strives to empower individuals to reach their full potential. Dean's rich background in elite sports coupled with his unwavering commitment to excellence makes him an invaluable asset to the Diamond team.

CORBAN WROE

 HEAD OF PERFORMANCE

Corban's showed his basketball skill as a teenager in QLD and was offered an AIS scholarship that propelled him to the University of Hartford on a coveted D1 Basketball scholarship. Upon completing his college tenure in 2015, he brought his expertise back to Australia as point guard for the Wildcats. His professional career culminated in 2018, and only recently retired from Warwick Senators in the NBL1 competition.
With over a decade entrenched in high-performance sports, Corban's transition into coaching was a natural evolution. In 2018, he joined Diamond, infusing his wealth of knowledge garnered from collegiate and professional basketball into his role. Specialising in Strength and Conditioning (S&C), Corban is committed to unlocking the full potential of Diamond's athletes. His strategic insights and innovative approach have positioned him as one of Australia's foremost coaches for athletic development.
He spearheads Diamond's coach and intern development programs, fostering growth and excellence within the organisation.
Corban's commitment to excellence, paired with his unwavering dedication to athlete development, embodies the ethos of Diamond. With him at the helm, Diamond athletes are not only equipped to succeed but are poised to redefine the standards of performance in Australian sports.

Leigh godfrey - OLY

HEAd of pathways + Trainer & Assessor


Leigh is our resident Olympian and Head of Education at Diamond. Her journey began with Softball, where she excelled on both WAIS and AIS scholarships. In 2009, Leigh received a Softball scholarship to Radford University in the USA, followed by a stint in the Dutch Professional League in 2013. Representing Australia since 2009, Leigh reached the pinnacle of her sport by competing in the Olympic Games in 2021.

Transitioning from player to coach, Leigh joined Diamond in late 2020, focusing on developing the next generation as part of the AIS Gen32 Olympic Coach Program. She oversees all Diamond operations at Christ Church Grammar School and MLC, as well as leading our education department.

Leigh's charismatic personality and commitment to excellence have a positive impact on everyone she encounters.

Mitch TIERNAN

Ballpark Performance Manager 
​Trainer & Assessor

Mitch started with Diamond in early 2023 after graduating from his degree. Sport was always a huge part of his life growing up. However, Football (AFL) was always his passion.

His passion for footy led him to begin umpiring on the days he wasn't playing, and after 7 years he was offered an umpire coaching role for the South Fremantle District.Throughout his schooling journey he was attracted to sport and exercise science and decided university was the pathway he was going to take. He completed his degree at Murdoch University, his practicum with the Perth Football Club, ASCA Level 1 and Cert IV in training and assessing. 

Since then, Mitch has gone on to run the strength and conditioning for the 14s,15s, Futures and Colts programs at the Perth Footy Club and solidified a full time position at Diamond as a Performance Coach.

Mitch's work ethic and friendly nature are a rare combination that has allowed him to have immediate impact.

Emily junk

Client Relations manager

Emily grew up in Regional Western Australia and found her passion for all things sport and fitness, playing a range of sports from tennis to hockey and everything in between, attributing her family and their love of sport for her's. 

Emily has a passion for high performance, injury prevention, and helping athletes, both professional and social, to achieve their potential. She spent last year as a trainer with the Perth Demons and is now an assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for both the Men's Seniours and the Girl's Rogers cup teams. She started working for Diamond at the start of the year and works at the MLC gym.

Angus Easton-hayes

performance coach

Angus grew up playing a variety of sports, although his passion lies with basketball and combat sports. Growing up competing in Taekwondo, he worked up to a 2nd Dan black belt, competed for 3 years in the WABL, and currently trains for boxing.

After dealing with terrible knee pain that preventing him from playing basketball, Angus fell in love with S&C coaching to better understand athletic performance and injury rehabilitation.

​In 2023, Angus served as an S&C Coach for the Swan Districts Football Club Colts program. In 2024, he became the Colts Head of Strength & Conditioning at West Perth Football Club, where he oversaw the development and conditioning of young athletes.

Dave Farlie 

performance coach + Educator

Dave grew up in an incredibly sporty household with his personal focus being on court sports (tennis, basketball & netball). But a childhood obsession led to a lifelong involvement in the sport-adjacent world of professional wrestling.

In 2001, Dave was an integral component in bringing locally produced wrestling back to Western Australia & helped launch Perth's first professional wrestling training school shortly after. This school has been responsible for launching the full time wrestling careers of many, who have worked for the biggest professional wrestling companies in the world (WWE, New Japan Pro Wrestling). Wrestling has taken him all over the country, as he has performed & run training seminars in every major state in Australia. He also co-hosts an annual wrestling camp that attracts participants from across Australia, New Zealand & South East Asia. 

With two kids of his own, Dave's attention has more recently shifted towards the development of youth athletes. In 2015, Dave brought his extensive coaching experience to the Piara Waters Junior Football Club where he is now a life member. In following his kid's passions, & with a keen interest in human movement, Dave added parkour coach to his resume in 2022. 

Dave's passion to see people reach their potential makes him a coach that shows a keen interest in both their sporting & human development.

Kristine Stroem

performance coach

Kristine brings a rich and diverse background in sports, as well as a deep passion for coaching and helping individuals reach their sport and performance goals. Originally from Norway, Kristine’s athletic journey spans multiple sports including rugby, soccer and dance, giving her a comprehensive understanding of both the physical and mental demands of sport. 

While completing her Master's degree in Political Science - Public Health, Kristine discovered her true passion for coaching as a group training instructor. This realisation inspired her to further pursue a Personal Trainer certification alongside her studies. Kristine relocated to Perth after finishing her Master’s degree to further pursue a career in exercise and sport science. She is currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a Health major at the University of Western Australia.

Ben Myer

performance coach

Ben joins Diamond from New Zealand, where he has spent the last 5 years working in various strength and conditioning roles. Growing up, Ben was involved in a range of sports and developed a particular passion for football (soccer).  When he’s not in the gym, he’ll either be playing football or attempting to surf.

Ben’s experience spans across multiple high performance teams such as NZ Futsal, NZ Waterpolo, NZ Taekwondo, Central Hinds and the Adam’s Academy.  Ben has also spent time working in a rehabilitation setting with individuals with brain injuries. This diverse range of experiences and broad background allows Ben to get the best out of whoever he is working with. Ben loves to work collaboratively with coaches, physios and the athlete themselves to ensure the best outcomes are achieved. His favourite part about working as a strength and conditioning coach is building connections with those he works with, and helping them achieve their success. 

Some of Ben’s personal highlights:


- Supporting athletes in achieving their individual sporting goals
- Rehabilitating a wheelchair bound stroke survivor to walk, swim, and ride a modified bike again
- Delivering national camps and performance testing for NZ Taekwondo and NZ Waterpolo
- Working as an International sport scientist with NZ Futsal Whites in Fiji

Johan "Renzo" Diocales 

TRAINER & ASSESSOR

Renzo’s journey with Diamond began in 2021 as a soccer athlete seeking to improve his on-field performance. Alongside this, he completed work experience as part of his Diploma in Sport and Business. While he had always been interested in working within sport, this dual role as both athlete and practitioner sparked a deeper interest in Strength and Conditioning and Sport Science.

In 2022, Renzo commenced his Bachelor of International Exercise and Sport Science at Edith Cowan University and completed his Certificate III in Fitness. These foundations enabled him to join the Diamond staff in 2023, where he has primarily worked in football environments and as a floor coach across various schools.

Throughout his degree, Renzo has gained valuable practical experience both in Perth and abroad in the United Kingdom. Working with athletes across sports including football, rugby, and American football, both in the gym and on the field, he developed a strong interest in sport science methods and performance analysis. He is particularly focused on translating data into meaningful, on-field performance outcomes.

Johnny Ogilvie

TRAINER & ASSESSOR
John returns to Diamond in 2026, bringing with him over 10 years of experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and educator. His career to date has seen him work with teams such as the Perth Heat, South Fremantle Football Club, and the Australian Mens Hockey Team. While at Diamond, he lead up the baseball HP program for many years, and delivered education classes to a wide range of students across multiple sites.

Away from the gym, he regularly looks for ways to further educate himself in his field, having recently completed a Masters of High Performance sport, and is an Accredited S&C professional in both Australia (ASCA) and the United States (NSCA).

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

With a genuine passion for helping athletes build resilience and return to full performance after injury, Emma brings a deep understanding of movement and a highly personalised approach to physiotherapy.

As a former national-level dancer, she knows firsthand the discipline, precision, and resilience required to perform at an elite level. Combined with years of Pilates practice, Emma’s fascination with the intricacies of movement and technical mastery continues to shape her approach to rehabilitation and performance care.

Her experience spans sporting clubs, surgical observations, and involvement in PhD research projects—giving her a well-rounded perspective on the many pathways to rebuilding strength, confidence, and capacity after injury.

Emma thrives on working collaboratively with the performance team to design strategies that bridge rehabilitation and performance. She’s committed to helping every athlete move, perform, and feel their best—both in sport and everyday life.
